One Deep Breath - Journey
Given the day that's in it - my little tribute to America.
Everything's bigger
in that country: such tall trees,
such sky, such space. Aaah.

Yes, there is more space here. Other than the weather one of my strongest memories of Ireland is that everything is just a little smaller, I suppose a coziness we don't have here.
Great picture. Where is it?
That was taken on Mount Diablo, somewhere in California.
I thought the hills looked familiar. And not very far from me. I love our golden hills in Northern California.
What a wonderful picture!
Thank you for the pic of one of our most beautiful Places in America.
America as it was conceived, Came mainly from the minds and ideals of Irish and Scottish immigrants.
So we owe a lot to that green little Isle.
Lots of space, high mountains and hills, wide blue (sometimes grey) skies, trees, flowing rivers and good dark earth. The land has an song of its own, as old and deep as life itself. Lovely photo here. . . .
Thank you! I'm glad you were able to visit and enjoy our wide open spaces.
The haiku (and the photo) are lovely!
Beautiful indeed. Your lovely haiku expresses the grandeur well. Thank you!
Nice. And thanks from America!
It's true. If you're driving, it takes a long time to get from there to here....
Fun blog!
Stunning photo! Evocative haiku too. Reminds me of a long ago holiday in California. It is all so much bigger over there.
I'm excited! I stood on Mt Diablo and you captured it beautifully!
Ah, indeed! Wonderful photo and poem. Thank you so much for sharing.
